How to Leverage Performance Evaluations and NLP for Corporate Culture Insight
Impact • 29m
Corporate culture in reality can be very different from the ideals put in place by senior leadership. If strategic decisions are being taken based on this culture, it's essential for us to know the level of confidence we can have in the stated cultural aims of the company being played out in real-life, day-to-day actions and interactions. This presentation will show how this insight can be taken from performance reviews using text analytics and topic modelling.
We demonstrate how Natural Language Processing can be used to discover actionable insights from untapped sources, such as unstructured text from performance evaluations. Our use case leverages N = 80k managers' free text performance feedbacks that unravel key topics related to corporate culture. Our approach allows creating data-based evidence for how culture is being lived in the organisation.
This session will explore:
- From unstructured text data to key topics
- How to find evidence for corporate culture in performance evaluations.
- Awareness and inspiration to use free text from performance management
- Concrete example of how to use NLP to get insights for corporate culture.
